Housing Rights Are Human Rights - Community Story

In July we were asked to create a video to be played at Cardinia Shire Council’s Social and Affordable Housing Strategy launch.

This project included interviews, motion graphics, b-roll, stock footage and drone footage.

Interviews were shot with the Panasonic EVA1 and Panasonic S1. The moving interview shots were achieved with the iFootage Shark Slider mini slider with motion modules.

Nabenet Health - Training Stories

We were excited to help Nabenet Health develop a digital manual handling training package and workplace activation, strength and stretch package for two of their clients.

Nabenet recognised that being a part of the digital space will enhance the safety, health and well-being capability for organisations, with a primary outcome of improving reach, convenience and access for staff.

Take a look below at some of the highlights from the videos we delivered.

These videos were shot on the Panasonic EVA1 and used the Sennheiser AXV MKE2 lapel microphone system for audio. Lighting was primarily the Aputure 120D, which creates a flattering and soft light across the talent’s face. The white screen segments were filmed in our studio, but we were also able to go on location to record relevant “on site” footage.

We also utilised using a teleprompter so our talent didn’t need to remember pages and pages of dialogue! This is a specific skill that takes time to develop, but once the presenter is comfortable, it makes the recording process a lot quicker, smoother and delivers a professional product.

We loved working with Nabenet on this video series and are looking forward to creating more content for them in the future.

Blooms By Liza - Social Story

Social media videos are a great way to capture your audience’s attention and get your message out.

One of the biggest hurdles with creating video content is it’s ‘so complicated and takes too long’. But it doesn’t need to be!

Take this story as an example.

Blooms By Liza was interested in creating video content to post to their Instagram channel. Your Story Studios went to her and did a short film shoot, which was under 2 hours, including setup, filming and pack up.

We then left Liza and went back to the studio to edit together 2 separate montage videos.

Each video had to be under 1 minute so it can be posted on Instagram, which currently has a 1 minute time limit, plus included royalty free music provided by Soundstripe. Please keep in mind that if you want to use copyrighted music (all the music you hear on the radio has copyright attached to it), then you’ll need to pay licensing fees, which can be quite expensive. If you don’t pay the licensing fees, you’re breaking copyright law, which isn’t just frowned upon, it’s illegal. That isn’t a great look for your business or brand!

Once the videos were edited, they were uploaded to Wipster, which is an on-line video approval service. This helps speed up the video approval process by having an all-in-one feedback point. Instead of having multiple e-mail chains, phone calls or hand written notes, all the feedback is collated into one video link and is easy for the editor to clearly see any changes that need to be made.

Liza received these videos through her e-mail and then approved them straight away.

After the videos were approved they were uploaded to a OneDrive folder for Liza to access and download. She was then able to post the videos herself to her Instagram channel when she desired.

All completed in 1 day!

Simple. Easy. Fast.

In addition, a separate version was created for Youtube, which is in a wide screen format (16:9) instead of the square format (1:1), which is ideal for Instagram.

Kaduna Park Resident Picnic Day - Community Story

On Saturday the 2nd of March, Kaduna Park had a resident picnic day, hosted by Parklea Real Estate, which featured food, entertainment and fun activities for the whole family!

Your Story Studios was invited to capture moments from the day to create a short highlight video, which can be distributed on Parklea’s social media pages, e-mail campaigns and website.

We combined video, timelapse and interviews to tell this story in an engaging way. Using multiple presenters keeps the video fresh, plus interviewing residents is an effective way to show excitement.

A highlight video is an excellent way to document your business’s event, but also helps promote future events your company may host.

Light FM - Business Story

We stopped by Light FM to hear their story from Clayton Bjelan, head of product development.

To produce this video it was a simple and quick interview with Clayton, followed by some filming around the 89.9 Light FM office to collect “b-roll”.

What’s b-roll? They’re the clips you watch while the presenter is talking.

Interviews are a great way to tell your story, but b-roll makes your story come alive. We always make it a priority to capture relevant b-roll when filming interviews, as it is one of the vital ingredients to making an engaging business story.

Levi McGrath - 'Love Wins' Music Video

Earlier this year, Your Story Studios produced a music video with Levi McGrath, which captured his recording experience at FX Studios.

We recorded this video with the Canon C200 and Panasonic GH4.

Other equipment used was the iFootage Shark Slider mini and an Aputure 120D light. All the gear worked well together to pull off this fun music video.

Hear Levi share a bit about himself, the recording process and the heart behind ‘Love Wins’ in the below video.
